The first priority is making the scene safe: assessing what the tree is still holding, what it will do when cut, and what it's resting on. Then we rig and remove it in controlled sections so a bad situation doesn't get worse - no yanking a trunk off a roof with a truck and hoping. How an emergency call goes
Start with a call or text to (920) 242-2560 - a photo of the tree helps enormously, because it usually tells us what equipment to bring before we've left the yard. Active hazards get triaged to the front of the schedule: a tree resting on a house, blocking a driveway, or hanging over where people walk beats everything else on the calendar.
On site, the first minutes are assessment, not cutting. A storm-dropped tree is loaded with tension - limbs pinned under the trunk, the trunk levered against the roof, the root plate half-lifted and wanting to roll back. Cutting the wrong fiber first is how a bad day becomes a catastrophic one. We work out what the tree is holding, rig it so it can't move anywhere we haven't chosen, and take it off in sections small enough to control.
Once the hazard is down we can chip and haul everything the same visit, or cut and stage the wood if your insurance adjuster needs to see the scene first - your call.
Equipment that gets there and gets it done
The spider lift is the emergency workhorse: it tracks through a 36-inch gate, sets up on lawns without wrecking them, and puts a cutter directly over a roof without anyone climbing a compromised tree - which we won't do, because a storm-damaged trunk can't be trusted to hold a climber. Rigging lines, friction devices, and a chipper round out the standard response.
What affects the price
- What the tree is resting on - a tree flat on open lawn is a far smaller job than one suspended on a roof ridge or tangled in another canopy
- Access - whether equipment can reach the tree or everything has to be carried out by hand
- Utility involvement - if lines are involved, the utility disconnects first and the job sequences around them
- Size and species - big hardwood holds more tension and weight than a pine of the same height
- Timing - middle-of-the-night make-safe work is a different scope than next-morning removal

Nothing needs to be moved or prepped - we bring everything the job needs.
Will you work with my insurance claim?

Most homeowners' policies cover removal when a tree damages a covered structure, and adjusters mostly want three things: photos of the tree as it landed, proof the work was done by an insured contractor, and an itemized invoice.
